"Selamat untuk Ukm Seni Tari Unhas yang telah berhasil meraih 3 Trophy sekaligus untuk Parade Tari Nusantara ke-29 di TMII. Selamat juga untuk kanda Matt Azmar dan kak Andi Musawwir Kamil sebagai Penata Tari Unggulan, Penyaji unggulan dan Penyaji terbaik daerah Sulawesi. "

We'd like to congratulate UKM Seni Tari for winning the greatest traditional competition, in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta. Its "29th Parade Tari Nusantara". We showed audiences the Toraya Malebbi dance, one of new traditional creation dance from Toraja, South Sulawesi. We are proud to present 3 Big Trophies. First, Best Choreographer for Matt Azmar Ally and Andi Musawwir Kamil (our Organization Supervisor and Choreographer). Second, Best Performer. Third, Best performer for Sulawesi.

We do hope to play up more our ability in traditional dance in national and international competition. This kind of competition give us such spirit to reach our special mission, to keep elaborating and creating a very good traditional dance to present Indonesia, especially South Sulawesi to the world.

 We would like to say thanks for all support from all people to us, especially Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Sulawesi Selatan for giving us this very good chance to join in this competition. Also great thanks for Hasanuddin University and all people inside for the great support. We will always try give our best for our campus.

Howdy Y'all!

This month gotta be so much interesting. We had visited by international friends of BSBI.There are about 10 friends from different country that came to our home in UKM Seni Tari Unhas, Hasanuddin University. We were gather together as a good friends, sharing many things about our culture, and yeah they make their quality time to have a great training in learning Toraja Dance for about 30 minutes only! Wow. They are great. They also play a great percussion team without preparation by Gendang Toraja or Gendang Makassar and succesfully making a very good rythme each other.

We are so happy to have them, here. This is our chance to get our mission in introduction our culture not only to our national friends, but also to international friends, by traditional ways.

PAKARENA 3 (18 Maret 2012)

Salam Budaya!

For several times, UKM Seni Tari Unhas proudly presents "Pagelaran Karya Seni Mahasiswa" (PAKARENA) that held in Baruga A.P. Pettarani Unhas, 18 March 2012. This is our third times to make this great events for people who love music dan dance, in traditional ways (specifically). This event is presented by new-members of UKM Seni Tari Unhas that become their place to prove their ability in music and dance after having a much-hectic training for about 6 months.

In this time, We have a great theme for the show, "La Puang Jala' and Toakala". This is one of folktale in South Sulawesi that we try to share it to audiences by music and traditional dance included. For this special folktale, we have several traditional dances to show from different place of Indonesia. Here They Are:

 Saman Dance (Aceh)

 Tor-Tor Dance (North Sumatera)

 Ronggeng Dance (West Java)

 Kecak Dance (Bali)

 Dayak Dance (Kalimantan)

 Nelayan Dance (South Sulawesi)

 4 Ethnics Dance (South Sulawesi)

Pagandang Baine Dance (South Sulawesi)

 Soya Soya Dance (Maluku)

Papua Dance (Papua)

It shows people that we are not lack of dances that used to dance of South Sulawesi dance only. But, we are also able in dancing many various Indonesian traditional dances. This also give us chances to improve better our knowledge of Indonesian traditional culture in generally. But not only traditional dance. We also have many modern dance that showed in this event, such as: B-boy performance, Kontemporer Dance, K-Pop Dance, and Solo Dance and Yes, the Percussion Performance! After all, all new members had their chance to be confirmed as the legal members of UKM Seni Tari Unhas directly by Vice Rector III of Hasanuddin University, Mr. Ir. Nasruddin Salam.

 

Welcome the new-members of UKM Seni Tari Unhas. Welcome in our very very big family. Hope this isn't gonna be your last time in making us and Indonesia proud for having a great young generation that really loves it cultures!
